- HPV is the most common sexually transmitted disease
- There were approximately 20 million people infected with HPV in the US in 2010
- HPV vaccinations could potentially prevent 70% of cervical cancers caused by HPV infection
- There has been a 56% drop in HPV infections in girls and young women since the HPV vaccine was introduced in the US
